High school students are invited to join the Southlake Health Trauma Team for our Summer P.A.R.T.Y. (Prevent Alcohol & Risk-Related Trauma in Youth) Program.

With two convenient dates to choose from, students will spend the day with Southlake staff, York Regional Police, York Paramedics, and trauma survivors. Learn about how everyone has a role to play in preventing youth trauma and making safe decisions.

Every participant leaves the program STOP THE BLEED certified. Stick around and complete Heart & Stroke CardiacCrash hands-only CPR & AED awareness training (optional).

Preventable injuries among Canadian youth cost the economy billions of dollars each year, with a total economic burden of roughly $4.6 billion for youth and young adults (ages 15-24). The costs include both direct medical treatments and idirect societal impacts. The numbers don’t quantify the pain and suffering preventable injuries cause for individuals, families, and communities. Let’s work together to keep our communities safe and prepared.

Visit https://southlake.ca/trauma/party/ to register. If you have questions about the program, please reach out to injuryprevention@southlake.ca.
