Event Description*: Doane House Hospice is a community-based hospice offering compassionate care to people who have a life-limited diagnosis/illness, caregivers, and those who are bereaved by the death of a family member or friend living in north Aurora, Newmarket, Bradford, and East Gwillimbury.

We are looking for experienced professional complementary therapists to provide services free of charge to individuals living with a life-threatening illness. We have opportunities in the areas of Registered Massage Therapy, Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Sound Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, and Healing Touch.

Complementary Therapy volunteers provide services at the Oasis Program that enhance program members’ quality of life and enhance their caregivers’ ability to cope.

The Oasis program is a group program running once a week on Thursdays from 10 am to 2 pm to provide support to individuals living with a life-threatening illness allowing them to relax and socialize with people in similar circumstances.

Required Qualifications:
• Provide proof of Qualifications
• Participate in mandatory training – Introduction to Hospice Palliative Care course and orientation
• Provide clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
