Margaret Bahen Hospice is a hospice residence with 10 suites providing palliative care support in a home-like environment to York Region residents at the “end of life” at no cost.

We are recruiting experienced professional complementary therapists to provide services free of charge to residents who are living at end of life and to their caregivers. We have opportunities for individuals with qualifications in Registered Massage therapy, Reiki, Therapeutic touch, Sound therapy, Cranial Sacral therapy, and Healing Touch.

Complementary Therapy volunteers provide services that enhance residents’ quality of life and enhance their caregivers’ ability to cope.

Commitment of 2-4 hours bi-weekly during weekday day time hours. Individuals may set their own schedule.

Requirements:
• Provide proof of Qualifications
• Participate in mandatory training: Introduction to Hospice Palliative Care course and orientation
• Provide clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
